November 9, 2009 - Fishing Report

It's been a great week of fishing here in Matagorda.  Limits of trout were caught under the birds in east bay.  Black colored Bass Assassins on a 3/8 ounce leadhead worked good.  The heavier leadhead produced limits of reds aswell.  When traffic picked up over the weekend I ventured to west bay where the redfish were schooled in the back lakes. Live shrimp under a cork worked well over there.  Most of the trout in west bay were undersized but we managed to box a dozen or more each trip.  Conditions look good for the coming week.  Give me a call if you want to go catching.  Capt.
