Albino Paintbrush
Scientific Name: (Castilleja indivisa)
Definition: The Texas Indian Paintbrush is a member of the very large, "Figwort Family" (Scrophulariaceae). Paintbrush comes in many shades, and even colors. The plant in many other areas of the U.S. California is reputed to have a purple paintbrush. Here you see an albino paintbrush - very rare. This rare paintbrush was photographed near Llano in in a colony of normal paintbrushes. Many Thanks to the couple who sent us this photograph.
